The Ministry of Energy has approved the professional standard “Digitalization and application of artificial intelligence in the energy sector.” The document was developed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Professional Qualifications” and is aimed at developing modern professional requirements in the field of digital transformation of the energy industry. The project provides for new professions: designer of intelligent (smart) networks, engineer for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in energy systems (Smart Grid) and specialist in cybersecurity of energy networks. These professions are formed on the basis of the Atlas of new professions and competencies of Kazakhstan and will be used in the development of educational programs and training of personnel for the energy industry.
