In the National Guard of Kazakhstan, artificial intelligence has been used to control the nutrition of soldiers. The system, which is being tested in military unit 5510 in Kokshetau, helps to analyze the composition, calories and quality of food, reports Tech-news. The system is part of the domestic "E-Qamqorlyq" software-hardware complex for digitalization of nutrition in the military unit. Part of it is the FoodPos device. FoodPos installed in the canteen recognizes the food on the soldier's plate using native AI. The device determines their size and shows calories and the amount of protein, fat and carbohydrates in it. This way servicemen can see the nutritional value of their rations. The system is not limited to just calculating food content. After the meal, the soldiers can evaluate the quality of the food. If a certain dish consistently receives low ratings or a significant portion of it is not eaten, this information can be taken into account in subsequent menu planning. That is, the opinion of military personnel becomes one of the data used to improve the menu. According to the National Guard, in the first months of the pilot project, about 1,500 comments were collected through the Q-Voice digital feedback panel. "E-Qamqorlyq" party
width is designed to digitalize other stages of food organization: Q-Store — keeps records of products in the warehouse and monitors storage periods. Q-HACCP — monitors compliance with temperature, humidity and sanitation requirements. Q-Staff — records work hours and medical clearances of kitchen staff. The project is being carried out on the instructions of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov. Now the system is being tested in the 5510th military department. If its effectiveness is confirmed, it is planned to introduce the experience to other military units of the National Guard.
