Non-commercial status of the project

1. General provisions

1.1. The AI Qazaqstan project (hereinafter — the Project) is non-commercial. Generating income is not the purpose of the Project. The purpose of the Project is to contribute to scientific and technological development in the field of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the region through open information, reference data and educational materials.

1.2. This document defines what the non-commercial status of the Project means, which sources cover its expenses, and on what terms support of the Project by third parties is permitted.

2. What non-commercial status means

2.1. Advertising is not published on the Site, including banner, contextual and native advertising, or affiliate (referral) links for which remuneration is paid for visits or actions.

2.2. Access to the Site's materials and services, including the registry, knowledge base, Academy and assistant, is provided free of charge.

2.3. The Project does not provide paid services. The following are not provided on a paid basis: placement and amendment of information in the registry, publication of materials, placement in collections, digests and rankings, or verification marks.

2.4. Users' personal data, data exports and Site materials are not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

2.5. Third-party materials are used by the Project without generating income. Materials distributed under non-commercial open licences are used in accordance with the terms of such licences.

3. Sources of expense coverage

3.1. Project expenses for hosting, computing resources, artificial intelligence services and Site development are covered from the following sources:

• the Project team's own funds

3.2. Donations from individuals and legal entities are not accepted.

4. Free-of-charge support of the Project

4.1. The Project may accept free-of-charge support not related to promoting the supporting party, its goods or services:

• provision of computing resources, hosting and software services;
• grants for Project development;
• expert assistance, including in preparing educational and analytical materials.

4.2. Support is accepted subject to the following conditions:

• support does not affect the selection of materials, registry information, or the content of digests and analytical materials;
• the supporting party does not receive the right to place advertising, mentions, logos or links in Site materials, digests or Project publications on social networks and messengers;
• support is not provided in exchange for placement or amendment of information about the supporting party.

4.3. Information about parties providing free-of-charge support is published only on this page in section 5 — as a list with a description of the support provided, without promotional wording.

4.4. Information about receipt of money or other property from foreign states, international and foreign organizations, foreigners and stateless persons is submitted to the state revenue authorities in the procedure established by the tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

5. Acknowledgements

No free-of-charge support has been provided to the Project to date.

6. Change of status

6.1. If the non-commercial status of the Project changes, the Administration will publish a new edition of this document and the Terms of use in advance, ensure advertising is labelled in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and cease use of materials distributed under non-commercial licences if their terms do not permit such use.
