The model solves the problem of the language barrier with the help of AI, which is of particular importance for the entire country, where the Kazakh language is part of a small language group. Kaz-LLM includes more than 150 billion tokens in Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish, collected from publicly available sources. The developers trained two versions of the model - with 8 (8B) and 70 billion (70B) parameters, which are already available for non-commercial use on the Hugging Face website. In addition, Kaz-LLM provides data storage within the country, which helps protect privacy and create value at the local level.
