An open community has emerged to solve NetHack. Researchers from AIRI are calling to unite those who are working on planning systems for AI to solve NetHack. According to the idea of the community leader, Vladislav Kurenkov, participants will have their own way to receive the program, their own tools and their own strategy. A common infrastructure will allow you to see results, compare them with each other and continue to develop each other's solutions. To start, evolutionary harvesting based on MAP-Elites is available: Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode modify the bots’ code, and the algorithm saves the best options for different starting characters. In the game itself, the resulting program is used, not the LLM at each turn; participants can develop their own harvests, and the results are independently cross-checked against hidden seeds.
